Tracklogs

If I walk or cycle any particularly interesting routes I may make the Tracklogs available here.

File formats:
GPX, OziExplorer (.plt) and Garmin MapSource (.mps or .gdb)
You will need MapSource version 6 or newer to open GDB files, this is a free upgrade if you have a previous version.

If you want to convert to another format try GPSBabel or G7ToWin to convert to your preferred format.

I may have digital maps of these areas (suitable for use with OziExplorer etc) but due to copyright issues and lack of webspace they are not available here. Please email me for more info.

Edinburgh to Falkirk	Following the Union Canal from Fountainbridge in Edinburgh to the Falkirk Wheel. One way as I got the train back from Falkirk High, the station is right next to the canal (and included as a waypoint). Edinburgh to Glasgow	As above, following the Union Canal to the Falkirk Wheel, then the Forth and Clyde Canal to Glasgow. Follows the canal to just before the Erskine Bridge, before heading into the city centre along the Clyde. Also one way, I got the train back from Queen Street - included as a waypoint, along with other stations near the route (Linlithgow, Falkirk, Croy, Lenzie) if you want a shorter journey. SXC6 - Drumlanrig, Dumfries 24th August 2003	Note: due to the thick tree cover GPS reception was poor so the tracklog is inaccurate in places. 3 laps Length: 7.3 km per lap This course is on private land - more info and opening times.	map	Ozi MapSource
